The D.E.Bs Learning Academy After-School Program provides students in grades K–8 with a safe, structured and academically focused place to learn after the school day ends.

Students receive homework assistance, targeted reading and mathematics support, small-group instruction and engaging enrichment activities that strengthen confidence, organization and independent learning.

ARRIVAL & TRANSPORTATION

Selected-School Pickup

Selected-school pickup may be available based on the student’s school, dismissal time, transportation route and available program capacity.

A pickup request on the registration form does not guarantee transportation. Parents must receive written confirmation from D.E.Bs Learning Academy before relying on school pickup.

BEFORE YOUR CHILD STARTS

Annual Medical Form

A current annual medical form completed and signed by the student’s healthcare provider is required before the student’s confirmed start date.

Parents will receive instructions for submitting the medical form securely after the initial registration is reviewed. Families who need assistance may call or text 347-364-1906.

WORKING TOGETHER

Family Partnership and Program Expectations

To maintain a safe, consistent and productive environment, families are expected to:

  • Keep tuition payments current.
  • Notify the program when a student will be absent.
  • Maintain updated emergency and medical information.
  • Follow confirmed arrival and dismissal arrangements.
  • Pick students up no later than 6:00 PM.
  • Notify D.E.Bs before changing an authorized pickup person.
  • Support the program’s academic and behavior expectations.

BEHAVIOR & COMMUNITY

A Safe and Respectful Learning Environment

Students are expected to follow staff directions, respect other students and program property, participate appropriately and make safe choices.

D.E.Bs uses redirection, restorative conversations, parent communication and behavior-support strategies whenever appropriate. Serious or repeated unsafe, disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in a parent conference, suspension or dismissal.

Fighting, bullying, threats, weapons, leaving supervision without permission or behavior that endangers another person may require immediate removal from the program.

Google Docs: Sign in to your Google account and choose Make a copy. In your own copy, complete the acknowledgment and signature line (type your full name or insert your signature). Your changes save to your Google Drive. Choose File → Download → PDF Document to download the completed policy, or File → Print to print it.

Completing or saving your copy does not automatically send it to D.E.Bs. Follow the submission instructions in your welcome message, or call/text 347-364-1906 for help.

REGISTRATION & CONFIRMATION

How Enrollment Works

  1. Review the program information and parent policy.
  2. Complete the short registration form.
  3. Select the weekly or monthly tuition plan.
  4. Complete the secure Stripe payment setup.
  5. Submit the annual medical form as instructed.
  6. Wait for the D.E.Bs welcome email or text confirming placement, pickup arrangements and the student’s start date.

Please do not send your child to the program until placement and the start date have been confirmed by D.E.Bs Learning Academy.

Who may enroll?

The program serves students in grades K–8.

When does the program operate?

Monday through Thursday from 2:30–6:00 PM.

Is school pickup available?

Pickup may be available from selected schools. Every request must be confirmed individually.

Is the medical form required during the initial registration?

No. Parents may complete the short registration first. The medical form must be received before the student’s confirmed start date.

When is enrollment final?

Enrollment is final after the registration, payment, required documentation and program placement are approved.
